Not all insurance companies or agents are the same.
A Captive agency offers insurance policies from one company/carrier. The limited nature of the insurance solutions that these companies can offer often yields quick quotes. However, this model presents challenges in terms of portfolio diversification — diversifying coverage to limit the impact of claims and revenue loss to the company. Additionally, captive agencies have a primary fiduciary responsibility to the companies/carriers they represent, not the clients they serve.
An Independent agency represents multiple insurance carriers. Independent agents/brokerage firms are empowered to create custom-designed risk management plans tailored to each of their clients’ unique needs and risks.

Luke Riggsbee
I’m Luke Riggsbee and I have been an independent insurance agent since April 2003. My focus is mainly on business insurance and personal lines insurance and I enjoy helping clients navigate this complex and often confusing world. My partners and I founded Titan Risk Consultants in 2019 to do just that — and to provide sound advice as well as trusted professional services. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, learning guitar and being at the beach. Look for me on the golf course.

I’m Cathy Lucas and I have been an independent insurance agent since June 1987. I have worked commercial/business insurance, the majority of that time. During that time, I have worked with contractors, biotech, restaurants, manufacturers, airplanes and all other types of insurance industries. My job is to provide you with the best coverages at the best price and handle the day-to-day details of your coverage. When not doing insurance, I love spending time with my family, sewing and reading.
Victoria DeCamp, CISR
I’m Vicky DeCamp and I have been an independent insurance agent since June 2012. I have worked commercial/business insurance, specializing in non-profits and Homeowners/Condo Associations.
